BIOPROCESSING - FACILITIES AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIAN ORGANIZATIONS FOR CONTRACT WORK, FOR HIRE, OR FOR LOAN

There currently exists an extensive directory of Australian biotechnology-based companies. For many scientists and business personnel, however, the capabilities of these companies are not as apparent. For example, questions such as who has GMP capabilities? Where do I go for scale-up expertise? Who can grow up bacteria at a 500L scale? Who has yeast expression expertise? Who can carry out chromatography on a 20L ion-exchange column etc? These are all questions that may be answered rapidly if a readily accessible register of capabilities was available. Thus as a service to the people in this industry, as well as an advertising benefit to the providing organization, we are trying to coordinate a cataloguing of existing biotechnological capabilities within Australia...
