The territory of Bonfim: space of knowledge production in health de Figueiredo, Túlio Alberto Martins; Simões, Fabiane Lima & Bonaldi, Cristiana Mara Abstract Objectives: To evaluate the significance of the territory of Bonfim as an area of knowledge production for students of the Health Sciences Center, Federal University of Espírito Santo, in Vitória-ES, Brazil. Methods: This study conducted a survey of all the works produced by undergraduate and postgraduate students of the health area from that university who investigated the mentioned territory. The field work resulted in the cataloging of eleven studies that had been characterized in accordance with the subject, the investigated problem; the approaches of the study and the year of its production. These works were distributed in two great thematic axis: studies related to the local management of health system and studies relating to child and adolescent health, respectively. Results:Surprisingly, we found out that all the works consisted of studies conducted by nursing graduate students. Conclusions: The non-participation of students from other graduation courses and / or post-graduation of that university, in the generation of knowledge that take account of exploring that reality, points to the need of the university community to cross the imaginary line that separates the academy from real world. O TERRITÓRIO DO BONFIM: ESPAÇO DE PRODUÇÃO DE CONHECIMENTO EM SAÚDE de Figueiredo, Túlio Alberto Martins; Simões, Fabiane Lima & Bonaldi, Cristiana Mara Resumo Objetivos: Avaliar o significado do território do Bonfim enquanto espaço de produção de saberes de estudantes do Centro de Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, no Município de Vitória-ES, Brasil. Métodos: Este estudo procedeu ao levantamento de todos os trabalhos produzidos pelos graduandos e pós-graduandos da área de saúde daquela universidade, e que tiveram como cenário de investigação o referido território. O trabalho de campo resultou na catalogação de onze estudos, que foram caracterizados de acordo com o tema, o problema investigado, a abordagem do estudo e o ano de sua produção. Esses trabalhos foram distribuídos em dois grandes eixos temáticos, a saber: estudos relativos à gestão local do serviço de saúde e estudos relacionados à saúde da criança e do adolescente, respectivamente. Resultados: De maneira surpreendente, constatou-se que todas as investigações se constituíam como estudos elaborados por graduandos em Enfermagem. Conclusão: A não participação de estudantes de outros cursos de graduação e/ ou pós-graduação daquela universidade, na geração de saberes que deem conta de explorar aquela realidade, aponta a necessidade daquela comunidade universitária cruzar a linha imaginária que a separa do mundo vivido.
