 en Identification and Frequency of Ascochyta Diseases of Green and Dry Peas in Morocco

Abstract

A survey of incidence and severity of Ascochyta check for this species in other resources diseases on peas in Morocco was carried out in 1992. All the three Ascochyta species of peas are found in the country. Their incidence and severity were higher on the green peas than on the dry peas. This is mainly due to the dry conditions prevailing during the dry pea growing season. Ascochyta pisi check for this species in other resources Lib. was isolated only from leaves and stem, Mycosphaerella pinodes check for this species in other resources (Berk. and Blot) Vestergr. more frequently from the leaves and stem than from the foot region, and Phoma medicagini var. pinodella check for this species in other resources (Jones) Boerema mainly from the foot region
