Abstract

TIAPE GÓMEZ Z, VELÁSQUEZ DE RÍOS M, GORAYEB I. 2004. Preliminary list of tabanids (Diptera: Tabanidae) from northwestern Guarico and southern Aragua, Venezuela. Entomotropica 19(1):59-63.

A list with three sub-families, seven genera and twenty species is given. Chrysopsinae: Chrysops brevifascius?* Lutz. Chrysops venezuelensis (Kröber). Pangoninae: Esenbeckia (Esenbeckia) prasiniventris (Macquart); Tabaninae: Cryptotylus unicolor (Wiedemann), Lepiselaga crassipes (Fabricius), Lepiselaga spp., Phylipotabanus (Mimotabanus) opimus Fairchild, Selasoma tibiale (Fabricius) and Stenotabanus sp.*? Tabanus antarcticus Linnaeus, Tabanus claripennis (Bigot), Tabanus colombensis Macquart, Tabanus commixtus Walker, Tabanus importunus Wiedemann, Tabanus lutzi Kröber, Tabanus nebulosus DeGeer, Tabanus occidentalis var. dorsovittatus Macquart, Tabanus olivaceiventris Macquart, Tabanus pungens Wiedemann, Tabanus sorbillans (Wiedemann). Asterisked species are new to Venezuela. The material is deposited in the Regional Insect Collection of the Rómulo Gallegos University.

Resumen

Se reportan tres subfamilias, siete géneros y veinte especies. Chrysopsinae: Chrysops brevifascius check for this species in other resources ?* Lutz. Las especies con asteriscos son considerados nuevos registros para el país. El material se encuentra depositado en la Colección Regional de Insectos de la Universidad Rómulo Gallegos.
