es Richness, abundace and distribution of the subfamily Rogadinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) in three natural ecosystems in Venezuela
Torres, Daylú N. P. & Briceño, Rosa A. G.

Abstract

For a full year we conducted diurnal and nocturnal samplings (yellow pan traps, interception, Malaise, swep net, and mixed light) to measure abundance, richness and distribution data of the subfamily Rogadinae, samples were taken twice a year (rainy and dry seasons) in 3 natural ecosystems (Yacambú National Park [PNY] Lara State, Guaramacal National Park [PNG] Trujillo State and El Candelo region [SEC] Yaracuy State). Results show seven genera, of which six are present in PNY: Aleiodes Wesmael, ChoreborogasWhitfield, Clinocentrus Haliday, Macrostomion Szépligeti, Rogas Nees and StiropiusCameron, four at PNG: Aleiodes, Bulborogasvan Achterberg, Clinocentrus and Rogas, two at SEC: Aleiodes and Rogas. Overall abundance from 323 collected individuals, 299 were Aleiodes, for the latter and additional study was conducted, obtaining 11 groups of species: albitibia, circumscriptus, dispar, gasterator, gastritor, melanopterus, pallidator, praetor, pulchripes, seriatus, and unipuntator for a total of 17 known species and four probably new. Furthermore we identified three morphospecies of Aleiodes outside the already established species groups. Greatest number of individuals were obtained at mixed light traps.
