Abstract

Antibodies to Newcastle disease virus (NDV) were detected in 20% of 15 serum samples of cattle egrets ( Ardeola ibis check for this species in other resources ), 16.7% 30 sera samples of Nigeran laughing doves ( Streptopelia senegalensis check for this species in other resources ) and none from sera of 30 pigeons ( Columba livia check for this species in other resources ) screened for antibodies to NDV using haemagglutination-inhibition (HI) test.
