We used CDC light traps inside houses, in a primary forest and in one cave. Seventeen species were collected being Lutzomyia longipalpis check for this species in other resources , Lutzomyia samueli check for this species in other resources , Lutzomyia whitmani check for this species in other resources and Lutzomyia lenti check for this species in other resources the most captured species. The genus Brumptomyia check for this species in other resources , L. whitmani, Lutzomyia sordellii check for this species in other resources , Lutzomyia carmelinoi check for this species in other resources , Lutzomyia termitophila check for this species in other resources , Lutzomyia peresi check for this species in other resources and Lutzomyia quinquefer check for this species in other resources are reported for first time in Piauí.
