Abstract

A new species of Culicoides check for this species in other resources of the subgenus Diphaomyia check for this species in other resources , Culicoides jurbergi check for this species in other resources Felippe-Bauer, is described and illustrated based on female specimens collected biting man and with light traps in Peruvian Amazonia. The species is compared with its similar congener mirsae Ortiz.
