Abstract

Study objective: To standardize the approach of the hysterectomy through laparoscopy, according to the analysis of the techniques and experiences for reducing the training curve in laparoscopy teaching programs.
Design: Description of experience with surgical procedure.
Interventions: Total hysterectomy through laparoscopy IV-E (AAGL classification).
Results: In no patient out of the 96 subjected to hysterectomy through laparoscopy major complication appeared; the surgical time was 72 minutes mean, the averageuterine weight was 190 gm., the mean hospitalization time and time for rejoining to work, social and familiar activities was 8 days. The most common indications were adenomyosis and myomatosis.
Conclusion: The systematization of the hysterectomy through laparoscopy procedure allows fast learning and the use of the relevant technology. Increases the possibility to be used as a first option when having the abdominal approach, with great advantages in the patient's recovery compared to the hysterectomy through laparotomy.
