Resumen

Con la finalidad de determinar la prevalencia del complejo Entamoeba y otros parásitos entéricos en adultos de varios municipios del estado Zulia, se efectuó un examen coproparasitológico con SSF 0,85%, lugol y método de concentración formoléter a 197 personas mayores de 20 años, de ambos sexos, de 11 municipios del estado Zulia; solo 186 fueron sometidas a coloraciones de Kinyoun. Se encontró un 77,16% de parasitados contra un 22,84% de no parasitados. Las mayores frecuencias correspondieron a Blastocystis check for this species in other resources spp. (50,3%), Endolimax nana check for this species in other resources (36%) y complejo Entamoeba (27,9%) en cuanto a los protozoarios; entre los helmintos, Ascaris lumbricoides (16,8%), Trichuris trichiura (7,6%) y Ancylostomideos (6,1%). Las asociaciones más comunes fueron complejo/Blastocystis spp. (17,77%) y complejo/Endolimax nana (17,26%). Se encontró diferencia significativa en las asociaciones complejo/ Giardia lamblia check for this species in other resources y complejo/Chilomastix menili (p>0,05). Se concluye que la prevalencia de las parasitosis intestinales en el estado, continua siendo elevada, teniendo los protozoos la tasa más significativa.

Abstract

In order to determine the prevalence of theEntamoeba complex, and other intestinal parasites in adults in several municipalities of Zulia state a study, was performed with coproparasitological techniques: SSF 0.85% lugol and concentration method. 197 people over 20 years, of both sexes, from 11 municipalities in Zulia. 77.16% of parasitized against 22.84% unparasitized were found; only 186 underwent Kinyoun stains. The higher frequencies correspond to Blastocystis check for this species in other resources spp. (50.3%), Endolimax nana check for this species in other resources (36%) and Entamoeba complex (27,9%) in terms of protozoa; and between the helminths Ascaris lumbricoides (16,8%), Trichuris trichiura (7,6%) and Ancylostomideos (6,1%). The most common associations were complex/Blastocystis spp. (17,77%) and complex/E. nana (17.26%). There was a significant difference between complex/ G. lamblia check for this species in other resources and complex/Ch. menili. We conclude that the prevalence of intestinal parasites in the state remains high, protozoa parasites having the highest rate.
