Resumen

En el presente trabajo se discute la importancia de identificar la flora bacteriana, potencialmente patógena, presente en el tracto respiratorio de terneros en sistemas de producción bovina del estado Monagas y su relación con el ambiente a fin de definir programas de prevención y control de problemas respiratorios. Se logró el aislamiento en el 66,1% de las muestras tomadas en los Llanos altos y en el 56,4% de las muestras de los Llanos bajos, observándose el predominio de P. multocida (65,4%) en los llanos altos, mientras que en los llanos bajos predominó (91%) Streptococcus check for this species in other resources sp. hemolítico. Además, se identificó en los llanos altos Streptococcus sp. hemolitico (30,9%), Arcanobacterium pyogenes check for this species in other resources (1,70%), Manheimia haemolytica check for this species in other resources (0,80%) y Staphylococcus sp. patógeno (0,8%). En los llanos bajos se identificó P. multocida (4,5%) y Manheimia haemolytica check for this species in other resources (4,5%). Los resultados evidencian diferencias en la flora bacteriana presente en los distintos ambientes y la necesidad de su identificación para evaluar el riesgo de enfermedades respiratorias.

Abstract

In the present work is discussed the importance to identify the bacterial, potentially pathogenic flora present in the respiratory tract of the calves and its relation with the ambient in order to define prevention and control programs. It was achieved the isolation in 66.1% of the samples taken in the high plain and 56,4% from the down plain, with predominance of P. multocida (65.4%) in the high plains, whereas in the down Streptococcus check for this species in other resources sp. Hemolytic was dominant (90.9%). In addition, it was identified in the high plain Streptococcus sp. hemolitic (30.9%), Arcanobacterium pyogenes check for this species in other resources (1.70%), Manheimia haemolytica (0.80%), and Staphylococcus sp. pathogen (0.8%). In the low plains it was identified P. multocida (4.5%) and Manheimia haemolytica check for this species in other resources (4.5%). The results evidenced that the ambient influenced the bacterial flora present and it is necessary its determination to evaluate the risk of respiratory diseases.
