Dear Bioline Users, friends, and supporters,
We have been very busy since our last newsletter, and we have a number
of new journals that are now available for your use. Please feel free to
contact me if you have any questions or would like any further
information about any of the Bioline journals.
NEW JOURNALS ADDED TO BIOLINE:
Acta Botanica Sinica (http://www.bioline.org.br/as)
Acta Botanica Sinica is published by Science Press, and is sponsored by
the Botanical Society of China and Institute of Botany, The Chinese
Academy of Sciences. The journal is published monthly in English, and is
peer reviewed. All issues are available on an open access (freely
accessible) basis.
Zootecnia Tropical (http://www.bioline.org.br/zt)
Zootecnia Tropical is a peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by
the Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agricolas (INIA), Venezuela.
Zootecnia Tropical is published every three months. An annual volume
consist of four numbers, and occasionally, a supplement. Zootecnia
Tropical publishes original and inedited research results, including
applied and basic research. The areas of interest for the journal are
animal production, pastures and forages, and marine and continental
aquaculture, related to the tropical environment. Zootecnia Tropical
publishes three types of papers: Scientific articles, Technical notes,
and Review papers, as requested by the Editorial Committee. The papers
can be published in spanish, english, or portuguese with abstracts in
spanish and english.
Journal of Pediatric Neurology (http://www.bioline.org.br/pn)
The Journal of Pediatric Neurology (ISSN 1304-2580) is an English
multidisciplinary peer-reviewed medical journal publishing articles in
the fields of child neurology, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric
neuroradiology, child psychiatry and pediatric neuroscience. The JOURNAL
OF PEDIATRIC NEUROLOGY is published quarterly (January, April, July and
October) by the Society of Pediatric Science, Yüzüncü Yıl University,
Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Neurology, Van, Turkey.
African Journal of Biomedical Research (http://www.bioline.org.br/md)
African Journal of Biomedical Research (ISSN: 1119-5096) is published by
the Ibadan Biomedical Communications Group. One of the dual roles of the
African Journal of Biomedical Research to serve as a conduit for
academic and professional media, covering all research findings within
the biomedical sciences including the allied health
fields. The other role is to put to test the alliance between the
private non- governmental sector and members of the academic community
in the African continent in their quest to propagate knowledge. This
journal is published in January, May and September, is peer-reviewed,
and is available on an open access basis through the Bioline
International website.
Smithiana Bulletin (http://www.bioline.org.br/sm) and Smithiana Special
Publication (http://www.bioline.org.br/sp)
The publication series (Monographs, Bulletins & Special Publications) of
the SAIAB (formerly the JLB Smith Insitute of Ichthyology), in its new
format honors James Leonard Brierley Smith and Margaret Mary Smith with
the name Smithiana, in recognition of their many years of devoted
service to African aquatic biology. Their life's work, a team effort,
established modern ichthyology in southern Africa and laid the
groundwork for the expansion of aquatic biology throughout the region.
Indian Journal of Pharmacology (http://www.bioline.org.br/ph)
The Indian Journal of Pharmacology is an official organ of the Indian
Pharmacological Society and is published by Medknow Publications on
behalf of the society. The first issue of the journal came out in 1969
and it was published quarterly. In 1997 it became a bimonthly
publication. IJP publishes original research articles, reviews, research
letters and correspondences. It is a peer reviewed journal indexed by
Biological Abstracts/Biosys, Chemical Abstracts, EMBASE/ Excerpta
Medica, CAB Abstract, CAB Health, Excerpta Medicinal and Aromatic Plants
Abstracts, NCI Current Contents.
