Dear Publishers, Editors and Friends,
Hello! We have been very busy lately and I have a few things to tell you
about.
1) We now have a web system that allows me to provide you with a login
and password to upload files. The system is quite easy to use: You
simply load the site, login, and begin uploading files through a web
interface. I have had one editor try this method of transferring files,
and he found that it was much faster than emailing multiple files. Any
type of file can be deposited on our server.
If you are interested in trying this option for sending your files to
Bioline, please contact me at bioline.international@utoronto.ca . It
will take a few minutes for you to get used to this new server, but I
think it will be very useful.
2) We have been working hard to archive each new journal issue on the
Bioline Eprints server as well as on our main server. This week, our
server administrators in Brazil have added a link to the HTML version of
each article. This link allows users to quickly access the PDF version
of that article on our eprints server. A quick check is done by our
system to make sure that the PDF exists on the eprints server, before
the link is offered to the user.
3) We have also added a few new journals... We are pleased to welcome
Annals of African Medicine <http://www.bioline.org.br/am> and the
Nigerian Journal of Surgical Research <http://www.bioline.org.br/sr> to
the Bioline family. We are also working with a few other journals, and
may have some more new journals very soon.
We hope that all is well with you and your publishing staff, and we hope
you will contact us with any questions about any of these announcements.
Have a great day,
Jen
