Skarin) The book Breast Cancer, edited by Wendy Y. Chen and Andrew Wardley, provides a comprehensive review of breast cancer, including its incidence, epidemiology, etiology, histopathology, and clinical features. Breast Cancer-a title in the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute series-has been produced in full color and is richly illustrated throughout. Diagnostic studies in breast cancer and current concepts regarding clinical and pathological staging are also described. The style is lucid and the approach holistic. It provides decision trees for various clinical situations. Particularly valuable is the step-by-step description of how breast cancer is characterized or staged according to tumor size, hormone receptors, and other factors-and the implications for prognosis. The book covers all areas of breast cancer, including mammography, surgery, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, and metastatic disease. Each chapter deals with a different subject, and a detailed index makes it easy to search for specific information. The authors have provided tables and diagrams wherever possible.
