Sir,
It is very interesting and economical technique Gopal and Kumar[1] have narrated regarding negative suction drainage for small surgical wounds.
My first question is do we have evidence that surgical drains do help to heal smaller surgical wounds?.

Recently Cochrane Review 2005 suggested there is no difference in the incidence of wound infection, haematoma or dehiscence between those allocated to drains and the un-drained wounds. Though the above review was for orthopaedic wounds i would feel it should apply to smaller wounds too. [2],[3],[4],[5]

Secondly it would be interesting to know your personal experience with this type of drains and their complication rates.
