Dr. Kul Bhushan Sharma was the founder editor of Indian Journal of Medical Microbiology. He held several key positions in Medical Colleges, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India and World Health Organization. He was also the member of the advisory board of the journal and continued to provide valuable input towards its growth.
