We are ready with issue 32 of AJFAND. Through this FOREWORD we wish to invite articles that particularly address Maternal and Young Child Nutrition. These will constitute a special issue in collaboration with GAIN which stands for Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition

Also through this FOREWORD we wish to announce the Fourth African Nutrition Epidemiological Conference which will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from October 4 to 8 this year (2010). I am Co-Chair of the Local Organizing Committee. The host institution is KEMRI (Kenya Medical Research Institute). Please visit the website www.anec4.or.ke to witness the rich programme we expect to put on. We anticipate an exciting conference and wish to urge you all to consider joining us. We are also interested in those who can sponsor young scientists and those who are willing to make a monetary contribution towards the running of the conference. Might you wish to be an exhibitor? Please contact us and also consider taking a holiday in Kenya after or before attending the conference. Kenyans are very hospitable to guests.
