Issue 35 is being released at a time when sports fans in 204 countries of the globe are glued on television screens watching the 2010 FIFA World Cup extravaganza, currently taking place in South Africa. This Issue′s Editorial has touched on sports nutrition; of course there is a lot more to write about this topic. At this time, there are a lot of issues to do with agriculture, food security and nutrition and food safety, and food trade. We hope you will find time to enjoy the variety of manuscripts in this issue. We carry here a speech made by US Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton, at a CARE conference in the USA. This speech where nutrition was addressed in-depth by such a high ranking Government official of a superpower government was hailed by many in the profession and highly appreciated. We at AJFAND wish to congratulate 2010 World Prize winners. It is worth noting that for the first time grassroots transformers have been recognized.
