Dr. R. C. Panjwani

It is with deep sorrow that we learnt the sad demise of Dr. R. C. Panjwani who breathed his last on 12 ^th March 2010 at Dr. B. Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai. He retired as Chief Medical Officer of Medical & Health Services of Larsen & Toubro in April 1997 after 27 years of long services in L&T. Dr. R.C. Panjwani has made great impact on occupational health in India and abroad. Dr. R.C. Panjwani was a core member of Mumbai Branch, served the Indian Association of Occupational Health with distinction as General Secretary, Mumbai Branch (1975-1976), as President of Mumbai Branch (1978-1979) and rose to become the National president of IAOH in the year 1989. He was a distinguished central council member till 1994. He had great passion for scientific activity, social service and flare for mentoring young Occupational Health Physicians. He was very vocal on issues connected with Occupational Health development and supporting the right cause, man with human touch arousing both friendship and respect around him. I pay my personal respects to Dr. R.C. Panjwani for grooming me in Occupational Health during my initial years in industry. The IAOH shares in the grief of all those close to Dr. R.C. Panjwani and our condolences to his family members.
