Abstract

ORELLANA B AM. 2004. 2004. Descriptions and taxonomical notes concerning Antirrhea check for this species in other resources Hübner (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae: Morphinae: Antirrheini). Entomotropica 19(1):21-29.

Antirrhea porphyrosticta phrynisca check for this species in other resources ssp. n. and Antirrhea lumejia check for this species in other resources sp. n. are described from cloud forest and lowland rainforest, respectively, in Táchira and Mérida States, western Venezuela. Antirrhea ulei check for this species in other resources Strand, 1912 is redescribed, the male and first instar larva are described for the first time, and a neotype is designated. All species treated here are illustrated.

Resumen

Se describen Antirrhea porphyrosticta phrynisca ssp. n. y Antirrhea lumejia check for this species in other resources sp. n. provenientes respectivamente de selvas nubladas y de piedemonte de los estados Mérida y Táchira, Venezuela. Antirrhea ulei check for this species in other resources Strand, 1912 es redescrita; el macho y la larva son descritos por primera vez. Se designa un neotipo para esta especie. Los tres taxa son ilustrados.
