Primary retroperitoneal hydatid cyst is a rare entity. Migration of retroperitoneal hydatid into the thigh is extremely rare. Retroperitoneal hydatid cyst may migrate along the fascial planes making their presence in the thigh. We report a case of primary retroperitoneal hydatid cyst which presented with asymptomatic thigh swelling with incidentally detected abdominal lump. On exploration both swellings were found to be communicating.
