Abstract

SAVINI V, FURTH D. 2005. Two new species of Gioia check for this species in other resources Bechyné (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Alticinae) for Central America. Entomotropica 20(1): 23-27.

Two new species of the genus Gioia Bechyné are described from Central America: Gioia quasidelicata check for this species in other resources and G. spatulata both from Panama, the male of Gioia josephinae Savini (1994) is described for the first time and an updated key for Central America species is provided.

Resumen

Se describen 2 especies nuevas del género Gioia Bechyné para Centroamérica: G. quasidelicata y G. spatulata, ambas de Panamá. Se describe por primera vez el macho de la especie G. josephinae Savini (1994) y se presenta una clave actualizada de las especies para Centroamérica.
