Abstract

TIAPE GÓMEZ Z, VELÁSQUEZ DE RÍOS M, GORAYEB I. 2005. A preliminary list of Tabanids (Diptera: Tabanidae) From Northwestern Guarico and Southern Aragua, Venezuela. Entomotropica 20(1): 75-78.

A list with three subfamily, seven genera and twenty species is given. Chrysopsinae: Chrysops brevifascius check for this species in other resources ?* Lutz. Chrysops venezuelensis check for this species in other resources (Kröber). Pangoninae: Esenbeckia (Esenbeckia) prasiniventris (Macquart); Tabaninae: Cryptotylus unicolor (Wiedemann), Lepiselaga crassipes check for this species in other resources (Fabricius), Lepiselaga spp., Phylipotabanus (Mimotabanus) opimus Fairchild, Selasoma tibiale (Fabricius) y Stenotabanus check for this species in other resources sp.*? Tabanus antarcticus check for this species in other resources Linnaeus, Tabanus claripennis check for this species in other resources (Bigot), Tabanus colombensis check for this species in other resources Macquart, Tabanus commixtus check for this species in other resources Walker, Tabanus importunus check for this species in other resources Wiedemann, Tabanus lutzi check for this species in other resources Kröber, Tabanus nebulosus check for this species in other resources DeGeer, Tabanus occidentalis check for this species in other resources var. dorsovittatus Macquart, Tabanus olivaceiventris check for this species in other resources Macquart, Tabanus pungens check for this species in other resources Wiedemann, Tabanus sorbillans check for this species in other resources (Wiedemann). It included new species for Venezuela. The material is deposited in the Regional Insect Collection of the Rómulo Gallegos University.

Resumen

Las especies con asteriscos son considerados nuevos registros para el país. El material se encuentra depositado en la Colección Regional de Insectos de la Universidad Rómulo Gallegos.
